No turning back
This week I have been reading Philippians. The Apostle Paul wrote this letter around 61AD, from prison, to a church in Philippi (in Greece). Even though Paul was in chains, he encouraged this church to look forward and press on...
“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward - to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.”
On Sunday 30 September we launch ‘Hope Community Church’. My prayer is that this is not just a name change for us, but we will be both challenged and encouraged by these words of Paul! None of us have it all together, none of us are experts! However let’s keep looking forward, where God is beckoning us onward - to Jesus. No turning back!
