Future Hope

This week I have been reading Isaiah. He is one of the ‘giants’ of the Old Testament known as a ‘major prophet’. That’s because his writings are the longest prophetic book in the Bible covering decades! At a time when God’s people were in exile, Isaiah spoke words of hope about their future...

The Lord says, “Forget what happened before, and do not think about the past.Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see it?Isaiah 43:18-19 The NCV Bible

These words are about the future, a bright future, full of hope! For us as church, I feel we are at one of those ‘important moments’! In a few weeks’ time, we shall be changing our name. Leading up to that we are going over our foundations, values and key prophetic words. Then we have our Big Weekend where we are looking to God to consolidate, speak and empower us all into this next phase of church life. Therefore, look to the future, God is doing a new thing. It is already happening. Don’t you see it?
