The Best Gift...Ever!
This week I have been reading more of the Christmas Story! One area that strikes me is the amount of ‘supernatural’ activity involved in the Nativity. The Bible records numerous accounts of Angelic activity and people hearing God through dreams and visions: Mary was visited by and Angel, Joseph had a dream, a company of Angels went to the shepherds and the Magi followed a ‘new’ star and also had a dream! All this happened to announce to the world the arrival of The Messiah, Immanuel, The Word, Jesus...
“In the beginning there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning All things were made by him, and nothing was made without him. In him there was life, and that life was the light of all people. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it. The Word became a human and lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory that belongs to the only Son of the Father, and he was full of grace and truth.”
God gave us the very best gift ever, his Son to be with us in all the ups and downs of life. He came as a light in the darkness brining hope to all who call on His name! Whatever you are doing this Christmas may you know the peace and joy that only Jesus can bring! God bless us, everyone!
